Yudhanjaya is a researcher with the Big Data team at LIRNEasia. His work covers hate speech and bots on social networks, artificial language generation, and the analysis of international connectivity. He is the co-founder of Watchdog, a news verification service created to combat misinformation in the wake of the April 2019 bombings in Sri Lanka. Yudhanjaya also writes science fiction, with a five-book deal from HarperCollins, and is best known for Numbercaste, The Inhuman Race, and The State Machine. He is the second Sri Lankan (other than Arthur C. Clarke) to be nominated for the Nebula Award.
