Susan Anthony
US Patent and Trademark Office
Attorney, Global Intellectual Property Attorney
Susan Anthony is an attorney in the USPTO’s Office of Policy and International Affairs (OPIA). She has a broad range of experience in intellectual property (“everything but patents”), with over 30 years at the USPTO and in corporate and private practice. She particularly enjoys her work with teachers, helping them to understand and apply copyright law. Her training responsibilities include programs for her country portfolios (Africa, ASEAN) as well as US small- to medium-sized enterprises (US SMEs) and Native American communities (and, in her “other” life, for her fellow American Civil War historians). She regrets that she is unable to attend this year’s NTSI, as she had been a presenter at the first three. In Susan’s book, NTSI is “the most wonderful time of the year.”
