Department for Information Society from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (the Portuguese public agency that supports science, technology and innovation, in all scientific domains, under the responsibility of the Ministry for Science, Technology and Higher Education).
Sofia coordinates the Portuguese Safer Internet Centre which plays a crucial role in scaling Safer Internet Policy, in particular by developing awareness-raising resources for Safer Internet Day and any other initiatives related with this theme.
Sofia as also experience in the “ ICT and Society Network”, which aims to surpass the digital inclusion and to increase the digital literacy in Portugal. She is deeply involved on how a multistakeholder approach maximizes public polities related with ICT and society, namely on how to address challenges, find solutions, planning and evaluating action plans.
