Imran Ahmed Shah belongs to Pakistan, serving private sector and civil society having 24 year experience in ICT. He is Voluntarily contributing spare-time for Global Policies Development since many years. Founded “Urdu Internet Society (UISoc.org)” to unite Linguistic Internet User Community to form the new Linguistic Internet Layers with excellence. He is an active member of Civil Society and representing different platforms he has been participating in the discussion forums and meetings about the global Internet Governance issues. Following the WSIS Tunis agenda, he founded “Internet Governance Forum of Pakistan (IGFPAK.org)” in 2010. On behalf of IGFPAK, he has organized IGF Remote Hub at International Islamic University, Islamabad and also conducted IGFPAK-2011 Conference. IGFPAK also facilitated rejuvenation exercise of ISOC Pakistan Chapters formation by providing a Common Hub for ISOC PAK Activities. Being a coordinator for E- Lahore Project Committee and Lahore ICT Club he has been engaging public and private sectors for deployment of E-Governance, E-Health, E-Education and E-Agriculture related projects at union level.
He is very much concerned with the IDN TLDs/ gTLDs which may increase digitally divided segments significantly. He is advocating for the Excellence in IDN base Internet Layers to avoid the intensification digitally divided communities advocating for the community base localized Internet.
He recently attended WSIS +10 Overall Review Meeting on 2nd March 2015 at Paris, France organized by M/s GPD. He also attended UNESCO Conference on Internet Study "Connecting the Dots" 3-4 March 2015, at UNESCO Head Quarter at Paris, France and supported the Civil Society Instance.
Recently formed Youth IGF Pakistan.
