Currently I represent South Korea's Internet Community at National Regional Initiatives(NRI) at the IGF, and sit on a steering committee of Korea Internet Governance Alliance(KIGA) that brings diverse stakeholders together to participate in the dialogue related to Internet policies. At Korea Internet Governance Forum(Kr-IGF), I have organized workshops on ethical framework for AI society, cybersecurity policy, and data governance My research questions center on the intersection of data, regulations on algorithmic decision-making, and the relationship of infrastructure (IoT sensing, face recognition)and mass survellance. I gave my public talks on cultural risk percetion of AI, auditing algorithm for accountability, and governance challenges of AI. I taught at the Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy(APIGA) organized by ICANN and ITU Centres of Excellence Network for Asia-Pacific Region in Bangkok. I was a Resident Fellow of Information Society Project, Yale Law School where I worked as a coordinator of Harvard-Yale-MIT Cyberscholar Working Group. Prior to that I conducted Internet research at Programme in Comparative Media Law & Policy (PCMLP) of University of Oxford and served as an Invited Expert of W3C Privacy Interest Group and elected as a Fellow at Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) in Korea. I am a graduate of Yale Law School, and Seoul National University Graduate School of Law, and hold certificates from Duke-Geneva Institute in Transnational Law, and from Intetnet Law Program at The Berkman Center Internet & Society of Harvard Law School. My interests focus on the intersection of Internet goverance and global regulations : AI ethics and governance, data governance ( IoT, smart cities, management), global agreement of cybersecurity norms, and digital technology's impact on achieving SDGs.
