GLN is an open global collaboration of innovation libraries and other community anchor institutions exploring joint connectivity options with a current focus on TV WhiteSpace as a low cost, wide area, lightweight, DIY infrastructure.

We are also part of the Global Connect Initiative to bring online the next 1.5 billion by 2020. Our premise is that this will not happen without a major Public Access component to any strategy. Further that libraries represent the ideal community access point to best provide not only access but support and training.
